Dear AZBirthnetwork, I am 44 and have had a goal of becoming a midwife most of life.
I am an LPN currently working in home health, I am in a BSN program and moving to Tempe Nov.1st. I had my last baby at home. I apprenticed with a home birth midwife in the late ’90′s attending close to 10 home births and countless prenatals. But, family issues and life circumstances has led me away from my calling of midwifery.
Now I’m in a position that I have to work full time and unable to apprentice. I do want to get myself back into the local midwifery community and start once again (albeit slowly but surely) toward that goal.
Any suggestions, tips or advice – any correspondence with anyone from here would be welcomed.
